  25. Escom and AT are bussinesses, and as such, are profit-orientated. It makes
  26. them short sighted, these bussineses. Thats why so many fail - they take
  27. your money, and give little in return. There is no cycle there - it's a
  28. downward spiral. The amiga has been mauled for so long that it is very low
  29. on this spiral, and heading down further. Therefore, escom have moved it
  30. off to viscorp.

  32. I doubt any of these companies know what to do with the amiga. Sure - some
  33. of my ideas might be called elitist, or atleast they belong in the
  34. workstation market. But I disagree; I think it's still early enough to set
  35. the course of computing for the next 50 years. Only the smarter people out
  36. there will grasp what I am getting at. Friends tell me the amiga is a way
  37. of life. It's a philosophy, maybe even to some - a religeon. Is this good ?

  40. Some things are sure: playing games with the amiga's future will only loose
  41. these companies money; the amiga is a long term project - short term profit
  42. is for simpletons; and the amiga 'culture' is under-utilized and
  43. semi-ignored by the crude 'small-think' of the corporate mind.

  45. Viscorp ? I don't know. They are not saying. If we do not receive a
  46. suitable prospectus from them for the amiga's future, along with there
  47. finacial standing, I think we face the end of another sad tale.

  49. If they do not have the vision, I will first buy a clone (because they are
  50. cheap), then perhaps a BeBox (because they are good).
